Minneapolis City Council against cruelty to animals. Or are they?
The Minneapolis City Council is poised to ban the sale of Fur in the City limits.
The Minneapolis Reformer is reporting that Minneapolis City Council wants to ban fur coat sales.
"Minneapolis City Council Members Alondra Cano and Cam Gordon announced today they plan to introduce an ordinance that would ban the sale and manufacture of new animal fur products."
Minneapolis is 'woke.' They don't care for the suffering of animals or animal cruelty right?
I Google searched fur stores in Minneapolis and found two in the city limits. There may be another retailer or two, but it can't be many.
There's another practice many would consider cruel to animals and that's Halal meat. To be Halal an animal is killed by cutting it's throat and letting it bleed to death. Not the quick modern way. It's a religious slaughter that must be done for a meat to be Halal for many Muslims.
Here's a video showing the process. (Warning graphic).
I ran a search on Halal Meats in Minneapolis and counted 34 places that sold it in the Minneapolis City limits.
The Secret Truth is if the Minneapolis City Council seeks to ban fur sales but not Halal meat they are not trying to end animal suffering. They are just virtue signalling.
